Each pair of LK Life Khaki pants contains the equivalent of seven recycled plastic bottles. In fact, thanks to LK Life Khaki, more than 14 million plastic bottles have already been rescued within their first year of production.

Turning Plastic into Pants

This is how PET water bottles are converted into high-quality, eco-friendly, REPREVE recycled fibers that are made into fabric for LK Life Khaki:

Plastic bottles are dropped into recycling bins

Pre-consumer polyester fiber waste and post-consumer plastics are collected

The collected waste then enters a unique material conversion process, where it is copped, ground, melted and reformulated into REPREVE, a recycled chip

The chips are melted so they can be extruded through tiny openings in a spinneret, creating continuous filaments that together, make REPREVE recycled fibers

The LK Life Khaki collection is available in more than 2,200 locations, including leading department stores in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, as well as online. Although LK Life Khaki line is currently available only in menswear, Haggar plans to launch women's wear later this year.
