Bahrain apparel exporter to open new facility in Sep'13

MRS Fashions W.L.L., a part of the Hong Kong based Must Group, is planning to open a new garment making unit in Bahrain, in September this year.
 
The company will invest US$ 10 million for setting up the new facility, which is aimed at meeting the rising demand from the US, TradeArabia News Service reported.
 
MRS Fashions, set up in 2000, is the leading apparel exporter in Bahrain, and accounts for nearly 70 percent of all Bahraini clothing exports to the US.
 
The new facility will come up on 100,000 sq ft area, and will be equipped with latest machines imported from Japan and Germany.
 
The company’s existing facility employs 1,700 workers and produces nearly 160,000 garments per week for various global retailers. The new facility would initially employ 800 people.
