“Christina Ståhl has a very clear approach as a leader, with strong implementation skills. Her experience of managing successful development work in the consumer sector will contribute valuable expertise to MQ. With the competency and leadership that Christina Ståhl represents, we will have the perfect prerequisites to achieve the company’s growth objectives,” says Erik Olsson, Chairman of the Board of MQ.
Christina Ståhl is 42 years old and has a Master’s degree in Economics from Lund University. She joins us from Mio, where she has been President since 2007. Prior to this, she worked within the ICA Group for ten years, including as President of Etos AB and Group Manager of ICA’s venture within Health & Beauty. Since January 2012, Christina Ståhl has been a member of MQ’s Board of Directors, a position she will vacate in connection with assuming the position of CEO of the company.
“In my eyes, MQ has so much potential that has not yet been realised; a key position in the fashion industry and such an exciting future that I couldn’t refuse. I recognise MQ’s current position from the other retail companies where my assignment was to develop and implement changes. I very much look forward to working with everyone at MQ to further develop the customer offering, brand and organization,” says Christina Ståhl.
In conjunction with Mats Gärdsell leaving his assignment as CEO, Tony Siberg, Deputy CEO and CFO, will take over as Acting CEO of the company until Christina Ståhl assumes the position, which will be in the autumn as soon as her current assignment allows.
