Stretchline, the world’s leading narrow fabric manufacturer announced that it has launched Fit-U a new quality of elastic where stretchability and power is engineered to suit the contours of your body, bringing a new dimension to comfort.

With a reputation for innovation and first to market products, Stretchline has developed a technology that produces elastic which exerts the right amount of pressure against your body offering you superior comfort. With Fit-U, the wearer enjoys a lot more comfort with a strap or waistband that feels great on the body.

Research shows that 61% of all women consider comfort as the most important consideration when buying a bra. The technology behind Fit-U has addressed such issues which limit women from indulging in a diverse bra wardrobe.

The Fit-U strap offers a remarkably high stretch with minimal loss of power which means the wearer can enjoy a great fit without having to adjust bra straps, leaving them free from metal or plastic hardware such as rings and slides. Fit-U also provides significant advancement in waistband comfort minimizing roll over and irritation, giving all day comfort and confidence to wearers.

Timothy Speldewinde, Group Managing Director of Stretchline commented, “Stretchline has a long and sound track record of developing innovative and performance driven narrow fabric solutions for leading brands the world over. Fit-U is yet another step towards our vision to continuously innovate and inspire sustainable and performance enhancing solutions for intimate, swim and activewear’.

With a history of over 150 years in narrow performance fabrics and a reach of more needle point destinations than any other elastic manufacturer, Stretchline is ideally positioned to partner with a global clientele in developing solutions for comfort, durability and optimum functionality.

A dedicated R&I center with significant resources operating 24/7 gives Stretchline the ability to continuously add to its range of patented narrow fabric solutions of which Fit-U is the latest addition. Other innovations by Stretchline (showcasing at Interfiliere 2013 in Paris, Stall S35) include:

Fortitube – A patented bra wire casing that reduces wire poke through and increases durability in machine washable bras.

Bondelast – Technology which producers elastic with fusible adhesive to provide the strong flexible bond between components of a garment.

Locksafe – Technology that prevent unraveling of elastic improving the lifespan of the garment.

Stay4Sure – A patented silicon coating that ensures the garment is held in one place without cutting off circulation.
