Gravity Anomaly launches mens mountain bike clothing brand

Gravity Anomaly has launched a new men's mountain bike clothing brand, introducing its first line of riding shorts and jerseys.  As an e-commerce brand and retailer, Gravity Anomaly delivers premium American-made riding apparel without the markup of retail prices.

The riding shorts are available in two styles including a X-Country short called the "Teamster," and an All-Mountain Enduro style riding short called the "Longhaul. Rather than taking inspiration from bright colored motocross outfits, skateboard clothing or other action sports apparel design aesthetics, the Gravity Anomaly shorts and jerseys are uniquely inspired by classic old-school premium work wear clothing brands that were known for their no-nonsense styling and enduring quality.

The shorts and jerseys are the first in what will become a full line of premium mountain bike riding apparel and accessories that will be rolled out over the next 12-16 months.

Rethinking Bicycle Clothing Retail

Frustrated by the lack of clothing options carried at most small bike shops that catered to the racer-set, founder Brendan Miller started rethinking the traditional bike apparel distribution system, which relies heavily on overseas manufacturing, wholesale distributors, large industry conglomerates, and small bicycle retailers to get products distributed.

As a direct-to-consumer brand, Gravity Anomaly is able to save on the cost of traditional distribution, and offer quality riding apparel that is American made at a competitive price.  "We wanted to create a new kind of retail experience where customers can provide direct product design input, and feel like they can call us up and talk to us about their desires to have a better pair of riding shorts," said Founder Brendan Miller, "we couldn't grow that type of relationship in a traditional retail distribution system."

Colorado Roots

Based in Denver, Gravity Anomaly will be making at the rounds at bike events like the Colorado Freeride Fest July 24-28, and others throughout the summer and into the fall.

"Colorado is the perfect place to cultivate our brand," said Brendan, "it offers great bicycle events throughout the year to get our product in front of riders, and is one of the best proving grounds on the planet to test our gear."

About Gravity Anomaly

Gravity Anomaly is the only online American-made mountain bike clothing company on the market today.  We're forging a new path with a higher standard of workmanship and attention to detail with direct-to-consumer experience all at a great value.  The name Gravity Anomaly harkens back to mountain biking's roots when it was all considered a gravity-driven sport.  We believe gravity is the magic elixir and common thread in all types of mountain biking whether you are riding up or down that makes every ride memorable.  Gravity Anomaly apparel will always be American made and designed and built to get better with every ride.
