In his current role, Mr. Kavindra Mishra will be responsible to grow the existing business portfolio and will be instrumental in designing effective strategies for Pepe Jeans India and embed them tactfully in the broad spectrum of the global strategy. Mr. Kavindra Mishra’s vast experience, sharpness, insights and clarity on the way retail industry works is a wonderful blend.
On the new development, Mr. Kavindra Mishra says, "I am excited about working alongside someone with the heritage and gravitas of Pepe Jeans.” His appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Pepe Jeans’ journey. With his rich experience in strategic planning, and retail industry, he is confident of executing a roadmap to achieve the next phase of growth for this company.
Mr. Mishra acquired his Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in 1999. He head started his retail career in 1999 as Area Sales Manager at Madura Coats and continued his career at Madura Garments as Brand Manager for Allen Solly.
In his 5 year stint with Allen Solly Mr.Mishra has executed renowned campaigns like “Solly at Work” which has taken the brand to great heights. In 2006, Mr. Mishra joined Tommy Hilfiger as Vice President responsible for their entire Retail vertical in India. Under his esteemed guidance the brand expanded rapidly through exclusive brand outlets and department stores.
In 2009, Mr. Kavindra Mishra was enticed by United Colors of Benetton (UCB) to be their Commercial Director. At UCB he fore fronted the project to convert all their retail stores into Franchisee Model in a short span of 1 year.
With such an enormous retail experience under him, in 2011, Mr. Mishra moved out of UCB to be part of the founding team of Zovi.com (India’s first online apparel and lifestyle portal). As President & Co-Founder of Zovi.com, he was responsible for Production, Sourcing and Sales.
Mr. Mishra’s drive for challenges continues and this brings him to Pepe Jeans India as its CEO, after the tragic death of its Managing Director Mr. Chetan Shah in Nov. 2012.
