The name "Zenit" styled like an arrow was one of the club’s first ever crests, but for many years has sat in the centre of a circle accompanied by a football and a ship. Now once again the arrowed "Zenit" proudly stands on its own.
"Leningrad Metal Plant is a significant part of the club history that team and myself are very proud of. We feel humbled to be here to introduce the new club kit that reflects Zenit heritage and honors the most important club symbols: our colours and famous Zint arrow," said Zenit midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk.
The new home shirt boasts a modern graphic of a faded laser blue arrow design pointing up towards the collar, which also reflects their new arrow crest and the club’s revamped identity. This arrow design on the shirt also emphasises the players’ physiques to highlight their pace and strength on the pitch.
The upper chest, shoulders and sleeves of the shirt are in a darker blue, and the shirt also has a crossover white V-neck collar and white cuffs featuring a gold trim on the sleeves. Inside the back of the neck is a bonded blue-and-gold woven label with a roaring lion, a popular Zenit club symbol.
The new home shorts are laser blue with a silicone print along each side, and the home socks are also laser blue with a white band at the top and a white block on the back to give players greater visual acuity on the pitch.
Zenit St Petersburg’s new away kit this season features their colours in a modern interpretation of a classic football design. The away shirt is a pure and clean white with a laser blue johnny collar and laser blue cuffs with a gold trim on the sleeves. The shirt also bears an updated club crest paying homage to Zenit’s history while representing their modern and ambitious philosophy.
Inside the back of the neck is a bonded blue and gold woven label with a roaring lion, a popular symbol for Zenit.
The new away shorts are white with a thin silicone print along each side, while the new away socks are white with a laser blue band at the top and a laser blue block on the back designed to give players greater visual acuity on the pitch.
The kit showcases Nike’s belief in style, craft and pride while aiding the performance of players with key technological features.
