General Pants launches Dan Single's debut line DAAN

After months of speculation about Dan Single’s debut solo collection and what it will look like, the guess work is finally over; DAAN has officially launched in-store and online at General Pants Co.

An androgynous collection exclusive to General Pants, DAAN offers a quirky kaleidoscope of floral prints, shiny sequins and terry towelling accents. The collection is both an entertaining and a tongue-in-cheek poke at the seriousness of fashion.

Quite obviously inspired from a life filled with action and adventure, each piece in the collection is cleverly woven with experiences, memories, people, places, movies, books, songs and feelings that are ever changing and always evolving in Single’s life.

“I never sit still, and DAAN is a slightly out of the box and very impatient version of me, and this is what makes the collection so colourful,” says Single.

“DAAN It is not influenced or referenced by any one thing in particular; the collection came together by using what was in my mind, not what I had seen on the runway.”

Key pieces in the collection include the sequined embellished basketball shorts and DAAN tee, a larger than life great white shark print tee, reversible silk tracksuit with an emblazoned jacket and terry towelling short suit.

“Tracksuits play a big part in the collection, and include a series of printed tracksuits that change every few weeks. The fit stays the same however the print gets more and more colourful each season so guys and girls who wear them feel like a slacker but look like a rapper,” says Single.

General Pants is also excited to announce it will be kicking off this year’s official opening show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney on the 21st August at 8.30pm. Consumers will be the first to see Single’s latest collection for DAAN and will be able to shop key looks from the runway live.
