The Governor’s recent unilateral and precedent setting decision to grant the New York Boat Show dates in mid-January certainly impacts the NRF annual ‘Big Show,’ which generates over $20 million to the New York economy.
The annual event – held in mid-January at the Javits Center for more than a decade – brings over 27,000 people to New York City, and it continues to grow. It expects to break a new attendance record in January 2014 and will continue to work with state officials and Javits Center board members to ensure sustained growth and economic opportunity despite the Governor’s mandate.”
