Wearable Technologies to host first conference in Asia

For the first time, the world’s leading innovation and market development platform for wearable technologies will host its Wearable Technologies Conference in Asia. On Wednesday, October 9 2013 the Wearable Technologies Conference will open its doors in Taipei (Taiwan) during the Taiwan International Cloud Technology & Internet of Things Show (October 8-11).

Encouraging the dialogue between decision makers, experts and developers the Wearable Technologies Conference gathers the whole ecosystem to bring forward new solutions and applications.

After an enormously successful event in San Francisco, Taipei is the logical next step for the original wearable technologies conference. Some of the biggest technology manufacturers are in Asia, especially in Taiwan and China, and the growing developer scene and the consumer base only add to its importance.

Focusing on Body-to-Cloud, the overall topic of the conference in Taipei, the Wearable Technologies Conference will present attendees with the newest developments, exciting innovations and new insights into wearable technologies, cloud computing and machine-to-machine communications. Selected enabling wearable technologies as well as stars of the wearable technologies market will also be featured.

Confirmed speakers include high-level representatives from Texas Instruments, Quanta, Eurocloud, Ericsson, Telit Communications, AiQ Smart Clothing, imec Taiwan, VARTA Microbattery, T-Ware, HzO, and mc10.

The sessions will cover following topics:

“Smarter Living on a Smarter Planet – Interaction of the body with connected devices in people's surroundings” 

“Connected Devices (m2m) – Stable enablers for major wearable technology applications” 

“Smart Technologies for Smart Devices – Latest technology developments for connected devices” 

“Wearable Technology Stars – Best practice: Examples for Wearable Devices”

With the whole ecosystem present, attendees will also have the chance to meet and network with many like-minded people and potential new business partners, possibly getting them one (or more) steps closer to the realization of their own product idea, like hundreds of projects that were initiated at our conferences since 2006.
