From 19 to 22 September, the city of Cologne is set to welcome a Portuguese delegation comprising four companies - Belmiro - Dr. Kid - Patachou and Beppi Kids - that are taking to this German city the best products manufactured in Portugal in the children’s fashion sector.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Kind+Jugend is an initiative of the Selectiva Moda Association, within the framework of the From Portugal internationalisation project, with the support of Compete and NSRF.

Belmiro - Dr. Kid - Patachou - Beppi Kids - are the four Portuguese companies that will be travelling to Cologne to show the latest trends in children’s fashion made-in Portugal. The participation of Portuguese companies in Kind+Jugend is supported by Selectiva Moda Association, within the framework of the From Portugal internationalisation project.

Appearing at this event for the first time, Beppi Kids presents its Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which is notable for its comfort and the excellence of its materials. In order to achieve cross-cutting objectives, Beppi has products for the whole family, from babies and children to young people and adults, with various types of footwear, from the more radical to the more conservative.

The palette of colours is focused on the season with a wide variety of clearly spring-like, happy and light tones. In addition to footwear, Beppi also produces a varied range of accessories, such as backpacks, pencil cases, bags, balls, watches, t-shirts, and other products.

Travelling to Cologne for the first time, the Belmiro brand believes that this event is clearly attractive. “Kind+Jugend is held in a strategic location in Europe, in Germany, and is an event that is visited by interested parties and potential buyers from Germany and also from other countries.

For a company such as Belmiro, which produces mainly for export, this means that this is a particularly attractive fair for our brand”, explains Enaltina Martins, the director of the company. The collection that will be presented includes clothes for babies and children as well as accessories in 100% cotton and also clothing in organic cotton.

The quality of the materials used in the whole manufacturing process together with the experience of the company results in high-quality garments that are guaranteed to be comfortable for children and to charm their parents. Expectations for this event are high: “At this event we hope to gain new customers, as well as to meet up with current customers”, adds Enaltina Martins.

Kind+Jugend is an event that is held annually and this year will have more than 1000 exhibitors from 44 countries, who will present their main trends in children’s fashion, in a 100 000 m2 exhibition space.

The participation of Portuguese companies in Kind+Jugend is an initiative of Selectiva Moda Association, with support from Compete and NSRF, as part of the From Portugal project.

Selectiva Moda is an association that promotes the internationalisation of Portuguese companies and for 2013 it has a programme of international actions in 35 different markets, aimed at the areas of yarns, fabrics and accessories, fashion, home textiles and decoration and technical textiles.
