Coast Apparel unveils new performance collection
Sep '13
COAST Apparel, a SC-based leading southern clothing brand recognized by its crab logo and distributed through retail locations across every southern state, announced the launch of its new Performance Series line and a completely-overhauled full-functioning, intuitive e-commerce website. These advances and product expansions reflect the COAST growing consumer base, many of which are college students and spend a significant amount of time online.

Redesigned to better engage with consumers and provide an improved user experience, the COAST Apparel website overhaul is also a functional move to further automate processes. Due to a recent increase in demand, elements such as optimized delivery time, a focus on customer satisfaction, and easing the manual burden on resources were key factors in the project.

From a visitor perspective, COAST Apparel created a more user-friendly, interactive, engaging website. Equally as important, from an operations angle, CEO Blayne Henderson explained, "COAST had a soft launch two weeks ago, and in that short amount of time, we have already increased our average orders online per day by more than 200%.” He continued, “COAST is very optimistic about our growth and success thus far, and we continue to invest in our company, product line diversification, and back-end systems to support our growing customer base and to better automate inventory and warehousing.”

This enhanced level of sophistication on the COAST website introduces numerous new items:

-Performance series inventory such as the fall line of fleece pullovers and vests for consumers looking for versatile, breathable clothing using innovative technologies
-Merchandise store locator
-Engaging promotions such as the company’s Rolex Giveaway, Guess the Score Contest, free COAST stickers, and Cast Your Color Vote
-Student Rep Program where college students partner with COAST in exchange for online store credit towards COAST merchandise
