Nike debuts lightest & most breathable NFL uniform

For the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl, the NFL and Nike Football introduce the game’s lightest and most breathable NFL Nike uniform to date.

Designed for optimal ventilation, the Nike NFL Nike Elite 51 Pro Bowl Uniform features a combination of lightweight, breathable fabrics. Designed and engineered from the inside out, this uniform system is built for the speed and energy of the all-pro event, and the heat of the host city - Honolulu, Hawaii.

Worn by some of the league's best, the uniform features amplified design details like vibrant color accents and Pro Bowl achievement stars on the nameplates. Reflecting by the pace of the game, these concept uniforms are punctuated by accents of vibrant orange and volt.

The uniform design and the game itself share a common theme that highlights the new, faster format for the Pro Bowl. Rather than pitting the AFC vs. the NFC, the 2014 Pro Bowl will make fantasy football a reality, allowing players, coaches, and fans to vote for the two teams. Once selected, teams will compete in a “best in the NFL” match-up built around speed and competition.

The 2014 NFL Nike Elite 51 Pro Bowl Uniforms push the limits of uniform innovation, energy, and speed.

THE NFL NIKE ELITE 51 UNIFORM

Designed and engineered from the inside out, the NFL Nike Elite 51 uniform focuses on creating a fully integrated system where the baselayer, padding, jersey and pant work in concert. Lightweight padding is also integrated directly into the crucial “hit zones” in the baselayer. Key innovations include integrated Flywire technology in the neckline to reduce weight and provide lockdown fit over pads, increased sleeve articulation for better range of motion, and all-over four-way stretch fabrication to provide a streamlined shrink-wrap fit.
