As the Halloween night is fast approaching, several apparel producers have geared up to don people of all age and sizes in Halloween dresses, in many western countries.

In most of the western countries Halloween is celebrated on October 31 each year to remember all dead, including saints and martyrs by donning costumes designed to portray frightening supernatural creatures like ghosts, monsters, witches, skeletons and devils as well as positive figures like angels, prince and princesses, etc.

However, today the costume range has stretched to even include outfits inspired by superheroes, aliens and science-fiction characters influenced by films, television series or literature.

Catering to this year’s Halloween celebrations several fashion labels eyeing business from the festival have launched specialized collections for the occasion.

Apparel brand Target Canada recently released a line of Halloween costumes ruled by orange and black hues. The line features dresses for kids inspired by superheroes and Disney Princess characters. The collection also includes pieces for adults like printed leggings, police officer costume kit and skeleton and Mummy costumes.

Not falling behind in luring customers, is the US based Disney Consumer Products (DCP), which is also offering a wide array of authentic Disney, Marvel and Star Wars character-inspired costumes and more, available at the Disney Store, mass and specialty retailers across US.

Meanwhile, Georgia based E-tailer Mr. Costumes also unveiled a new Halloween line for 2013 catering to kids and adults. The collection has new attractions where efforts have been made to link zombie costumes with technology. The Digital Dudz iWound Zombie costume from the range combines traditional apparel with a free iPhone or Android app. The app cycles through various gory animations of zombie organs. When the smartphone is placed in the latex bib that drapes around the neck the costume literally seems to come to life (or undead in zombie-speak).

The new line also includes costumes of traditional naughty and nice creatures like that of superheroes and their villain counterparts, sexy vampires, pirates and witches.
