The retail sales of garments and textiles in the Chinese domestic market increased by 13.3 percent year-on-year to 93.8 billion yuan in September 2013, according to the latest data.

The growth in garment and textile retail sales was same as the rise seen in retail sales of all social consumer goods during the month.

Similarly, from January to September 2013, urban retail sales in China grew by 12.7 percent year-on-year to 14.579 trillion yuan, whereas rural retail sales shot up by 14.5 percent to 2.301 trillion yuan.
