UniFirst Corporation, an industry leader in the supply and servicing of uniforms, workwear, and protective clothing throughout the U.S. and Canada, has once again been named one of the "50 Best Companies to Sell For" in North America by Selling Power magazine.

UniFirst was ranked #9 on the magazine's 2013 list , just ahead of Iron Mountain. Others on the top 50 list include FedEx (#25), Oracle (#29), Thermo Fisher Scientific (#39), and IBM (#49).

All companies earning a spot on Selling Power's list were assessed on such factors as salary, financial incentives, benefits, training programs, career mobility, and more. The magazine's corporate research team also conducted detailed supplemental research on all nominees. The list appears in the magazine's December 2013 issue.

Jerry L. Messenger, Director of Sales Support at UniFirst, said the recognition "is reflective of our sales culture which is built on an extensive series of year-round professional development programs, and an internet-enabled CRM system that literally places prospects at the fingertips of our sales reps."

In addition to the "Selling Power" recognition, UniFirst has also been named as one of the "Top 25 Companies for Career Opportunities" by Glassdoor, a nationally renowned online website that solicits anonymous reviews and ratings from company employees. Glassdoor ranked UniFirst as the 12th best company for a career, beating out such companies as Procter & Gamble, GE, Northwestern Mutual, and Ernst & Young.

In commenting on its 50 select companies, the publisher of Selling Power magazine, Gerhard Gschwandtner, said earning a 2013 listing required companies to possess "sales cultures that set the standard for hiring, motivating, retaining, and supporting sales teams."  He added, "Each company [such as UniFirst] is succeeding when it comes to helping salespeople perform at their best." Meanwhile, Glassdoor succinctly noted its 2013 list of 25 companies "stand out for both high career opportunities…and insightful reviews."

UniFirst Corporation is one of the largest providers of workplace uniforms, protective clothing and facility services products in North America. The Company employs approximately 11,500 team partners who serve over 250,000 customer locations in 45 U.S. states, Canada and Europe from over 200 customer service, distribution, and manufacturing facilities.
