Berghaus has ordered AlvaForms from Alvanon’s EU series which are created from the body scans of over 50,000 European male and female consumers aged between 20 and 40 years of age.
Initially the AlvaForms will be used by Berghaus’s product development and design teams in its Sunderland-based global headquarters in the UK with future plans to roll them out to its office in Hong Kong and international supply base.
Each full-body fibreglass AlvaForm will feature the Berghaus logo and have collapsible shoulders and hips with detachable left leg, shoulder caps and arms for ease of use and a soft belly to accurately represent the yielding properties of the human waist.
Alvanon’s EU series of AlvaForms is based on the 3D body shape scans of consumers in France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Russia, Spain, UK and complemented by World Health Organization and National Health data from 17 other European countries.
From the morphological scans and data Alvanon has generated its EU series of technical fit mannequins that give fashion designers, brands and retailers the ultimate tool for accurately capturing the predominant European body shape, posture and balance.
This enables garment suppliers to design clothes that fit more of their European customers more of the time, achieving greater customer satisfaction, brand loyalty and full price sell-through with lower returns and markdowns.
