Brooks Brothers to launch menswear in Australia

Brooks Brothers will launch menswear in Australia from early February, available through select David Jones stores across the nation.

The introduction of menswear with David Jones is the first step for the brand in Australia by joint venture partners OrotonGroup.

“We are very excited to introduce a brand with such unique heritage and superior product quality to Australia,” said Mark Newman, CEO OrotonGroup.

Brooks Brothers General Manager of Asia Pacific, Andy Lew commented, “Australia provides a very unique opportunity for Brooks Brothers, growth in the retail market continues throughout the country and we look forward to working with OrotonGroup to take the brand from strength to strength, providing gentleman and ladies with a style unlike any other available in the Australian market to date, from America’s oldest retailer”.

Brooks Brothers menswear collection featured in David Jones takes inspiration from the artists, intellectuals and jet-setters who from the 1920’s to 1950’s found themselves equally at home whether in Connecticut or Cote d’Azure. The collection features seersucker trousers, unique fine embroidery, beachy whites, comfortable brushed cottons and the most exquisitely fitting suits.

Brooks Brothers are proudly working with The Woolmark Company, working all the way through the manufacturing chain, right through to the Australian woolgrower, ensuring the wool quality from start to finish is perfect for our apparel and accessories.

This season’s selection of wool and wool blend items offers a wide variety of timeless favourites, sweaters, suits, as well as new fashion additions that add polish and sophistication to your wardrobe.

With over 500 stores worldwide Brooks Brothers continues to expand its network of retail stores. A flagship store is set to open in Sydney CDB in the middle of 2014, along with additional own retail presence in Melbourne, and beyond in the future years.
