Sanuk, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation announced that industry leader Ethan Anderson has joined Sanuk as Global Vice President of Marketing.  He brings more than 20 years of expertise in driving strategic brand growth for modern lifestyle and cutting edge apparel, accessories and footwear.

Anderson most recently served as Executive Vice President, Global Creative Director at Volcom, where he executed 360-degree integrated campaigns for the lifestyle and youth culture brand.  At Sanuk, Anderson will be a key member of the executive team, helping to further expand the brand's footprint through global marketing efforts.  He joins an already strong leadership team, including Jeff Fitzhugh, VP of Sales and Trisha Hegg, Global Director of Product.

"We are very excited to have Ethan join the Sanuk family.  We couldn't find a better candidate to lead our global marketing efforts in the US and help drive them in key emerging markets, including Japan and Brazil.  His extensive background in successfully maximizing creative strategy for a highly nuanced global action sports lifestyle brand through digital, social and retail makes him a perfect fit for Sanuk," said Jake Brandman, Sanuk President.

"Sanuk has grown tremendously over the past few years and Ethan will help to leverage the strengths of the brand to expand distribution and build exposure to new consumer segments, while continuing to appeal to our core audience."

Anderson joins Sanuk with a successful track record of proven brand growth and creative market-leading initiatives.  During his tenure at Volcom, he was responsible for spearheading brand strategy and managing all creative direction, including developing unique campaigns, which drove revenue increases.  Prior to Volcom, Anderson started his career at Surfer Publications.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from San Diego State University.

"I have watched Sanuk grow since its inception and have always admired the brand's unique spirit and sensibility," said Anderson.  "Sanuk has evolved into a world-class lifestyle brand with a loyal consumer base and unique cultural connection. Sanuk offers a compelling story with terrific growth potential and I look forward to working with the global teams to further enrich the brand experience and contribute to the Company's success."
