The world’s leading swimwear brand, Speedo, has signed a new three-year deal with the Spanish Swimming Federation as its exclusive product and sportswear supplier.

Speedo will provide equipment and apparel for all RFEN (Real Federación Española de Natación) athletes competing in swimming, water polo, diving, synchronised swimming and open water until December 2017.

The Spanish team, which is currently ranked 14th in the world, enjoyed great success in 2013, collecting 12 medals at the 15th FINA World Championships,  including two silver and one bronze medal from 23-year-old Mireia Belmonte.

Sean Hastings, Vice President of Product and Marketing at Speedo International said, “Speedo and the Spanish Swimming Federation have enjoyed a long relationship spanning almost two decades. The Federation is home to some of the highest performing athletes in the world and we are proud to be able to support them at all their upcoming tournaments, including the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.”

The RFEN will showcase the latest Speedo product and equipment at the upcoming 32nd LEN European Swimming Championships in Berlin, August 2014, followed by the FINA World Swimming Championships in Doha, December 2014.
