The Buckle net sales drop marginally in May

The Buckle, Inc. announced that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the 4-week period ended May 31, 2014 decreased 3.1 percent from comparable store net sales for the 4-week period ended June 1, 2013. 
 
Net sales for the 4-week fiscal period ended May 31, 2014 decreased 1.2 percent to $72.0 million from net sales of $72.8 million for the prior year 4-week fiscal period ended June 1, 2013.
 
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 17-week period ended May 31, 2014 decreased 1.4 percent from comparable store net sales for the 17-week period ended June 1, 2013. Net sales for the 17-week fiscal period ended May 31, 2014 increased 0.3 percent to $343.6 million from net sales of $342.5 million for the prior year 17-week fiscal period ended June 1, 2013.
