Celebrity visitor at upcoming The Gallery Düsseldorf – Renowned Düsseldorf designer Thomas Rath will make a special guest appearance at Igedo Company’s by now traditional press breakfast.

He is one of Germany’s most successful fashion entrepreneurs: designer Thomas Rath. Under the auspices of his brand “Thomas Rath – Semi Couture,” he has developed his very own design language focussed specifically on an upmarket target group. “Semi Couture” represents the unwavering execution of his design vision and an implicit homage to the irresistible glamour exuded by the timeless elegance of luxury.

Rath’s designs are rather like collages, adding a big splash of emotion to the grand extravagant fashion themes of the upper class. He’s in love with the elaborate details of his craft, the art of dressmaking and the finest materials with all the requisite accessories – couture that’s worthy of stars, grand cru through and through.

With the new representative brand space and studio in Düsseldorf – sitting on nearly 500 square metres on the shores of the River Rhine – Rath and his large international team have created the embodiment of his organically grown, successful business endeavour.

New to this trade fair season will be THE GALLERY SELECTED SHOW, staged by Igedo Company in collaboration with KOLLEKTIV K at the Schraubenfabrik location at 3 pm on Saturday, 26 July 2014. In a mixed-show format, the following nine labels will showcase the many facets distinguishing exhibitors at THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF: THE SWISS LABEL · TOMO · ATOS LOMBARDINI BARBARA REIS · EVE IN PARADISE · SCHWEIKARDT · FRAU BLAU · EWA I WALLA and AZIZI.

Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company, adds: “We’re delighted by the fact that THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF has been able to achieve remarkable market presence within just two years. Thanks to the joint efforts by all players at the location, Düsseldorf has returned once and for all to the centre stage of the German fashion business.”
