VF Corp to highlight Timberland brand at investor meeting

NYSE-listed VF Corporation has announced that it will be hosting an investor meeting on September 17, 2014, to highlight its Timberland brand.
 
Steve Rendle, VF senior vice president, Americas; Patrik Frisk, VF Coalition president, Outdoor Americas, and other members of the Timberland brand’s senior management will participate in the meeting.
 
Investors attending the meeting will get an overview of Timberland brand’s long-term growth strategy. This will include milestones achieved since the 2011 acquisition by VF, key innovation and product initiatives, branding strategy, expansion plans by geography, and an update on its direct-to-consumer business.
 
Presentations will be webcast live from approximately 9:00 am to 2:30 pm Eastern Time and can be accessed via the investor relations section of VF’s website at www.vfc.com. An archived copy of the webcast will be accessible a few hours following the conclusion of the event and an event-specific microsite with presentations and other meeting materials will also be made available, the company said in a statement.
 
During the second quarter ending June 28, 2014, revenues at VF Corp rose 8 percent to US$ 2.4 billion, driven by double-digit growth in our Outdoor & Action Sports, international and direct-to-consumer businesses.
 
Operating income increased 9 percent to $220 million in the second quarter, compared with $201 million in the same period of 2013. Operating margin was 9.2 percent compared with 9.1 percent in the second quarter of 2013.
 
Earnings per share increased 16 percent to $0.36 per share during the quarter, compared with $0.31 per share during the same period last year. (RKS)
