Avery Dennison introduces virtual Labelexpo booth
Sep '14
Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials is introducing an interactive virtual booth, which will highlight the innovations launched by the company at the same time in its booth at Labelexpo Americas—the labeling industry’s premier trade show being held in Chicago from September 9-11, 2014.
The virtual trade show booth at virtuallabelexpo.averydennison.com will replicate what will be seen at Labelexpo, including seven innovation zones that feature technology designed for unique segments and applications. This will be done using CAD drawings of the physical booth.
At the virtual booth, visitors can click on each innovation zone to access product overviews and educational information, including white-papers, videos, and product portfolios.
The virtual tradeshow will open the door to converters around the world who are unable to attend the show, feels Judy Abelman, vice president, communications for Avery Dennison Materials Group.
“This tool will enable converters to experience the innovations we will debut and gain access to the information and tools featured in our booth. It’s also a great way for converters at the show to share what they’ve seen with team members who weren’t able to come to Chicago,” says Judy Abelman.
Post-Labelexpo, on September 16-17, the virtual tradeshow will have a live chat function that is staffed globally by Avery Dennison product specialists. After that time, virtual booth visitors will be able to submit questions directly to sales representatives and technical experts and quickly receive the information they need, the company said in a statement.
Headquartered in Glendale, California, Avery Dennison (NYSE: AVY) has operations in more than 50 countries and employs over 26,000 people worldwide. The company reported sales from continuing operations of US$ 6 billion in 2012. (RKS)
