Raymond launches integrated ecommerce platform

Raymond, one of the largest players in Indian fabric and garmenting industry, has launched an integrated ecommerce platform – RaymondNext.com, offering all its products, brands and services under a common umbrella.
 
In addition to the existing range of products and services, RaymondNext.com will also offer an exclusive selective range of apparel, which will not be available in the stores. In near future, the online store will also offer a host of features, including a concierge service from Raymond ‘Made to Measure’ where customers can order customised products from their homes.
 
Along with RaymondNext.com, the company has also launched four individual e-commerce enabled brand websites—raymondselect.com, parkavenueselect.com, parxselect.com and colorplusselect.com—which can also be viewed on tablets and smartphones.
 
Raymond said it has ventured into ecommerce to increase visibility of its products.
 
To be able to efficiently serve its online customers, Raymond has also invested in warehouse facilities, which will help it to service a single product to a single customer across the country.
 
Commenting on the launch of RaymondNext.com, Vijay Basrur, Head – Ecommerce, Raymond Limited said, “We are thrilled to offer our customers an exciting new avenue for shopping with the launch of RaymondNext.com. E tailing at present is a small contributor to retail and is fast emerging as an alternate commercial channel across multiple product categories amongst a rapidly evolving netizen base in the country. According to industry estimates, E tailing market is set to reach US$ 32 billion by 2020 and hence makes perfect business sense for Raymond to capture this growing demand.”
 
Raymond, Raymond (Ready-To-Wear), Park Avenue, ColorPlus, Parx, Makers and Notting Hill are among the fabric and apparel brands owned by the Raymond Group, which has an expansive retail presence established through the exclusive chain of ‘The Raymond Shop’ and stand-alone brand stores. (RKS)
