During a recently held ceremony, the affiliation certificate was handed over by Dr A Sakthivel, Chairman of AMH SSC to Virender Uppal, Chairman, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) in the presence of various government and ATDC officials.

The mandate given to AMH SSC includes creation of national occupational standards, affiliating training providers in apparel trainings and assessing and certifying the trainees of such institutes and training providers.

Recently, ATDC signed a MoU with All India Council of Technical Training (AICTE), to offer B. Voc Programmes in Apparel Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship and Fashion Design & Retailing in an attempt to reduce growing gaps between skilled manpower requirements and availability. (AR)
