lululemon athletica Inc., a yoga-inspired athletic apparel company, has appointed Stuart C Haselden as the chief financial officer (CFO), effective from February 2, 2015.

Haselden’s career spans 15 years of executive leadership at global apparel retailers, including J Crew Group and Saks Incorporated. In addition to his extensive financial management experience, his proven strengths include driving strategy, international growth, and shareholder value.

Most recently, Haselden served as CFO and executive vice president of J Crew since May 15, 2012 and also served as its principal accounting officer. From 2009 to 2012, Haselden served as J Crew’s senior vice president of finance and treasurer, and served as vice president of financial planning & analysis from 2006 to 2009. Before joining J Crew, Haselden served as the vice president of strategic planning for Saks Incorporated where he held a variety of positions from 1999 to 2005. Haselden also serves on the advisory board of the School of Human Sciences at Auburn University.

Laurent Potdevin, CEO of lululemon athletica said, “I am very pleased to welcome Stuart to our senior management team. Stuart’s extensive background in financial management with global apparel retailers is a perfect fit for lululemon. I’m confident that his broad capabilities will strengthen our ability to build on our momentum as we develop our international footprint and create long-term, sustainable value.”

Haselden said, “Looking at the world-class team that Laurent has assembled, I’m excited to assume this role and contribute to lululemon’s growth. Additionally, I look forward to working with our investor and shareholder community.”

Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional designs, lululemon athletica works with yogis and athletes in local communities for continuous research and product feedback. (GK)
