Indian online shopping portal Jabong has brought the UK-based brand Miss Bennett London to India with a spectacular launch event held on the runways of ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015.

The London brand showcased its latest young, fashionable, ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2015 range meant for fashion–forward young women looking for a distinct style statement.

Replete with an underlying music-festival vibe, the line is a delightful mix of floral, marble and graphic printed ensembles like crop tops and mini dresses as well as athletic pieces including track pants and sneakers, all based on a palette of grey, charcoal, black, white, cobalt, royal blue, wine red, pink, neon and shades of blush.

The collection’s athleticwear themed Track Star assortment is created with clean lines and transparent fabrics. The range includes lingerie-inspired crop tops and sheer tops.

The travel-inspired range Into The Blue includes ensembles with Moroccan blue and white tiles inspired prints, stripes and paisley motifs. The 1990’s trends, bold contemporary silhouettes, folk florals and Bloomsbury 1930’s textile prints in summer sherbet hues form the basis of the English Garden themed range.

Reflecting the Afro art pop vibe, the cutting-edge African Pop Art highlights a blend of African prints with an urban attitude and modern graphic layers. Miami Vice features Florida palm tree and pineapple motifs and tropical coloured soft tie-dye prints.

A hybrid of Moroccan tie prints and sports styles, the Le Sportif line consists traditional tennis whites, polo T-shirts, sets and cycle tops. The collection New Rave Tribe personifies a new era of tribal sets with new rusty colour combinations along with flashes of neon.

Haute Hippie is all about high summer festival phenomenon with the 70s vibe taken through an ultimate festival look. The collection is full of bright and bold colours teamed up with mutated bright for fun print heavy pieces.

Young Indian actress Shraddha Kapoor walked as showstopper for the Miss Bennett London show.

Commenting on the celebratory launch, Jabong CEO and founder Arun Chandra Mohan said in a media statement, “Jabong is proud to bring Miss Bennett London to our young and fashion conscious consumers at a very affordable price. The collection is young, chic and will appeal to the masses.”

Natalie Jolliffe, brand director at Miss Bennett London said, “We are happy to launch Miss Bennett London through Jabong as it helps us reach out to our target audience better. The Indian retailer in the recent past has shown tremendous growth and we couldn’t have found a better platform to launch the brand. Our label is designed for the coolest girl in the room who can pull off a chic yet playful outfit. We are happy to bring the catwalk trends from London to India.” (PB)
