Billabong, an Aussie apparel retailer said it dominated by bagging many awards at the Australian Surf Industry held on the Gold Coast on June 14, 2015.

Billabong was named both the Men’s and Women’s Brand of the Year awards for 2014-15 by the Surf and Broad Sports Industry Association, the hosts of the awards.

“Along with winning the coveted awards, the retailer’s ‘Life’s better in broad shorts’ campaign also bagged the ‘Men’s Marketing Campaign of the Year’ award,” a Billabong press release said.

Additionally, its ‘A Bikini Kinda Life’ campaign won the ‘Women’s Marketing Campaign of the Year’ award. Furthermore, it also bagged the ‘Women’s Swimwear Brand of the Year’ award.

The Billabong’s sales team also received the ‘Sales Office of the Year’, while the ‘South-East Queensland Sales Rep of the Year’ was bagged by its employee, Simon Bonny.

Billabong’s Australian brand manager Mike Savage said, “It was pleasing to receive recognition across marketing, design, sales and general brand performance, showing the breadth of talent in the entire team.”

“These awards underline Billabong’s on-going connection to the core surfing community it serves and there is no better or more welcome recognition than that of our industry peers,” Savage added. (AR)
