Jacket suit exports surge in January

The Ministry of Industry and Textile has recently reported that Vietnamese textile and apparel industry earned US $68.44 million from the exports of jacket suit in the first month of 2008. The figures registered a year–on–year rise of 27.79 percent.
During the month of January, Vietnamese jacket suits have been shipped to 58 markets world wide.
The strong and stable growth was seen at most of the markets. Germany saw a growth of 24.47 percent; Japan at 37.46 percent; Korea demonstrated a boost of 52.43 percent. Few markets like Mexican, Argentine and South Africa marked a remarkable jump of 271, 310, and 888.69 percent respectively.
In total 314 companies exported the jacket suit in January 2008.
