Retail turnover of Apranga goes up in Q1

The retail turnover (including VAT) of the leader of retail apparel market in Lithuania and the Baltic States Apranga Group has made LTL 37.8 million (EUR 10.9 million) in March 2008, or 8.4% more than in March 2007.

Comparatively low growth rate, on the contrary to the results of March 2007, was influenced by slow selling of spring-summer collections due to cold weather and big number of additional public holidays.

The retail turnover (including VAT) of Apranga Group has made LTL 121.5 million (EUR 35.2 million) in 1st quarter of 2008 and has increased by 32.4% comparing to 1st quarter 2007.

In January - March 2008 the retail turnover of Apranga Group has increased by 32.8% in Lithuania, 36.0% in Latvia, and 21.4% in Estonia.

Currently Apranga Group operates a chain of 84 stores (55 in Lithuania, 24 in Latvia, and 5 in Estonia).

Shares of Apranga are listed on Baltic equity list on Vilnius Stock Exchange. Majority shareholder of Apranga Group is concern MG Baltic.
