Mr Ramki Subramanian, Director, New Businesses, Dow India said, “XLA is pleased to partner with ColorPlus, India's leading casual wear brand that has a distinct and expressive vision allowing our fiber to shine through a revolutionary way.
The ColorPlus name itself spells innovation and unusual styling and we pride ourselves in offering a combination of supreme durability, easy comfort and effortless style at a premium level.”
Mr Subramanian further added that, “XLA is about longevity in the life of the garment that keeps its shape, color and great fit.
The XLA fiber in the garment dramatically increases the comfort level by imparting it life long comfort stretch properties.
No stress points build up. The garment adapts to the body shape keeping you comfortable and relaxed amongst all the pulls and pressures of modern day life.”
XLA is the worlds first olefin-based revolutionary fiber from the stable of Dow Fiber Solutions. XLA fiber has comfort stretch properties that can withstand very high temperatures (up to 220).
XLA and ColorPlus have worked hand in hand to enhance the look, comfort and performance of ColorPlus Chinos. The current Process 6030 from ColorPlus was made compatible to handle the fabric with XLA core spun yarn.
For this process, the fabric is subjected to the sub zero temperatures (-33'C) that normally prevail high above the earth and then put them into ovens where the temperatures reach levels which are normally experienced deep below the earths surface (150'C).
Such dramatic treatment on fabric serves to enhance the hand feel & increase color depth and the garment acquires strong wrinkle defying properties.
The process delivers trousers with a sharp line crease for the pristine look – which stays till the very end of a hectic day.
