Knights Apparel in Spartanburg to add new jobs
Jul '08
Knights Apparel Inc has completed the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Oak Brook, Ill., to its existing facility in Spartanburg.

In the wake of this latest move, Knights, a leading producer of licensed sports apparel, has consolidated all of its operating areas under one roof in the approximate 350,000-square-foot warehouse and office building, located at 5475 North Blackstock Road in Spartanburg.

Earlier this year, Knights shifted customer service, production art and other functions from Red Oak Sportswear, a College Station, Texas-based company it had acquired in 2005.

All told, the company now has approximately 225 employees in Spartanburg.

"I am pleased that the headquarters and Red Oak relocations, coupled with our growth, has allowed us to add over 50 jobs to the Spartanburg area in 2008," said Chief Executive Officer Joseph Bozich.

Donnie Hodge, President and Chief Operating Officer, added: "Like many geographical areas in the United States, Spartanburg has been hit hard by plant closings and layoffs. We are proud that Knights Apparel has been able to add meaningful jobs to an area impacted by these difficult economic times."
