GreenEdge Kids, an online clothing boutique specializing in boys' and girls' eco-fashion, sizes 2-12, will bring its designer eco-friendly kids' clothing to selected community-based events emphasizing green living and kids' eco-fashion (GreenEdge Kids 2008 Events). GreenEdge Kids is committed to expanding the reach of eco-friendly clothing, and connecting to customers.

Coming up this week is the Parenting Magazine Orange County's Parenting and Kids Expo at the Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California, on August 2, 2008. This event, organized by Parenting Orange County Magazine, is packed with entertainment, education, activities, and of course shopping … and this year there's a focus on being green.

GreenEdge Kids is a sponsor of the Parenting OC fashion show, highlighting hip and trendy eco-friendly kids' fashions. GreenEdge Kids partnered with designer brand Sustainable Kids so that some of the earliest and trendiest of the Fall 08 eco-fashions will be available at the Expo.

GreenEdge Kids will also participate in kids' eco-fashion shows in Laguna Beach during the 3-day Autumnal Green Festival in October 2008, and in Pennsylvania during the Sustainable Living Festival in September 2008.

“We are thrilled to be sponsors for so many eco-friendly kids' fashion shows this year, because they provide a fun and engaging way of showing parents and kids how fun and stylish eco-friendly clothing really is,” says Annie Kaskade, President of GreenEdge Kids.

Participating in eco-fashion shows and appearing at green living events like the 3-day Green Festival in San Francisco, California, in November 2008 or the Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice, Los Angeles, California, in September 2008, is a lot of work on top of an already packed schedule for the GreenEdge Kids' team.

So why bother? “We want to connect with our customers, as well as with other potential partners in the green living community,” says Ms. Kaskade. “We are committed to online shopping, but we also recognize the value of being where people can experience our clothing firsthand.”

GreenEdge Kids was launched on Earth Day 2008 by Annie and Jim Kaskade, two entrepreneurial parents who wanted to make it easier for other parents to buy green clothing for their kids – without sacrificing style.
