M/s Votary Accessories Limited, a wholly domestic company has plans to set up a garment accessory manufacturing industry in Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ).
A total of Taka 300 million has been set aside for investment in the plant which will produce garment accessories mainly for exports. The project is likely to generate employment opportunity for 114 Bangladeshi nationals.
Official sources from Karnaphuli reported Fibre2fashion that already two different plots have been purchased for the purpose each measuring approximately 2000 square meters.
An agreement has also been inked between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and Votary Accessories Ltd. on July 29 at Dhaka but legal transfer of possession is yet to be completed. The company will make a total investment of US $5 million for the site.
