Christian Audigier announced that he will launch a new clothing line inspired by the late American daredevil and icon, Evel Knievel.

The line will be unveiled at "When I Move You Move", the Las Vegas trade show located at Caesar's Palace Hotel on August 25, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.

The Evel Knievel brand captures the essence and excitement of the great American icon. The line of t-shirts and hoodies showcases iconic images related to the daredevil including his famous number 1, motorcycles, and even skeletal diagrams of his broken bones.

Classic colors of red, white and blue are prevalent, and the line is printed using archival and cracked finish inks and flocking.

Christian Audigier worked closely with the Knievel family to ensure the designs are authentic and capture the persona of the motorcycle legend.

The line appeals to buyers of all ages, including those who remember his extraordinary career firsthand and those who have recently been introduced to his stunts by modern, popular media.

"I admire Evel Knievel because he was the original. He invented extreme sports. I grew up in France watching the excitement and suspense of his jumps.

He defied skeptics, ignored fear, and pushed the limits," Christian Audigier said. "He had several accidents throughout his career, but he persisted and we watched and cheered for him every step of the way."

"Caesar's Palace is the ideal place to launch this brand since it was the site of his legendary jump over the fountains in 1967," Audigier added. "He was the quintessential showman, unwavering in his attitude and determination."
