Canada's newest active wear label, VATA Brasil, announced a partnership with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts, making the company the official clothing supplier to the football club and outfitters for the Toronto Argonauts Cheerleading Team.
VATA Brasil is a unique line of active wear " for athletes by athletes " and inspired by Brasilian beach wear. Designed in Vancouver by a Brasilian designer and athlete and manufactured in Rio de Janeiro, VATA Brasil helps you make the most of your active life, dresses you in excitement, outfits you with innovation, pushes you to greater performance and fills you with true Brasilian energy.
VATA Brasil will produce an exclusive line of Vancouver-designed and Brasilian-inspired active wear that makes prominent use of Argos colours and logos. Each cheerleader will be dressed in athletic tops, jackets, pants, game day top and skort.
"Our label embodies athleticism, motion and a touch of sex appeal. That's why we're a perfect fit for the Argos cheerleaders," said Mario Gomes, Chief Executive Officer, VATA Brasil.
"This is a bold new step for VATA Brasil, and we're hoping to lend some exotic Brasilian flair to Toronto's football season this year.
VATA Brasil was founded by Brasilian competitive freedivers Mario Gomes and Ananda Escudero Gomes. Designed in Vancouver and manufactured in Rio de Janeiro, the label currently has two retail locations in Vancouver.
Part owner and retail and marketing veteran Daniel Langevin is developing retail and wholesale markets across North America, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, India and Australia.
In Southern Ontario, VATA Brasil's retail and wholesale markets are being developed with help from AlleyKat Athletics Sales Agency.
VATA Brasil's designs have been recognized by organizations around the world, including Munich's ISPO BrandNew Awards in 2007 and has twice been selected to be part of BC Fashion Week.
