Trigger, a wholly owned subsidiary of KG Denims Ltd and a leading brand of jeans and casuals, is launching its first stand-alone store in Coimbatore.

Mr Sundar, General, Manager Retail, Trigger, told Fibre2fashion, “Presently we have 17 stores and have plans to open 100 more before March 2009. In fact, by September this year, we will have an additional of about 10-14 outlets in cities like Mumbai, Pune and Bhubaneshwar. Unique Selling Point of these stores will be that none of the styles would be repeated and some 20 new designs would be introduced every month.”

Mr Sundar also revealed that the present production of the company stands at 1-1.2 million pieces per annum, in factory alone. As such, the production of jeans is anticipated to scale up from the present 2,500 pieces per day to 3,500 pieces per day.

Turnover on the other hand touches 40 million and is expected to hit 1000 million by 2010, with the launch of these stores across the length and breadth of the country.

Besides, Mr Rajhagopallan, Director (Marketing), Trigger, told reporters that the company would very soon introduce festive range of jeans, cotton casuals, casual shirts and knits range developed by a leading design studio Cor de Rosa and products would have distinctive styling/washing that would differentiate the range from other brands.
