The Men's Wearhouse announced that it has not experienced any significant damage to its Houston area retail stores and distribution facilities due to Hurricane Ike.
Although Houston-based distribution processes were temporarily impacted, chain wide requirements for tuxedo rental events and retail merchandise continue to be serviced as a result of adequate redundancy of capacity within its nationwide distribution network as well as adequate back-up power sources in the Houston distribution facilities.
The re-opening of the Company's retail stores in the Houston area; Men's Wearhouse, K&G and MW Cleaners, is currently expected to be completed within a week.
Founded in 1973, Men's Wearhouse is one of North America's largest specialty retailers of men's apparel with 1,287 stores. The Men's Wearhouse, Moores and K&G stores carry a full selection of designer, brand name and private label suits, sport coats, furnishings and accessories and the MW Tux (formerly After Hours) stores carry a limited selection. Tuxedo rentals are available in the Men's Wearhouse, Moores and MW Tux stores.
