For the first time, Páramo will be at the Outdoor Trade Show this September/ October with their unique collection of ethically produced, long lasting and high performance outdoor clothing. New fabrics, new designs and new colours will all be decidedly in evidence.

• Top billing goes to the new Velez Adventure Light Páramo's best-selling multi-activity smock now in lightweight Nikwax Analogy fabric for the first time.
• Also on the 'must-see' list will be a new technical hoodie and technical windproof duo for serious 'high activity' whether in the mountains or high adrenaline adventures.
• The very versatile Cambia Sport range of performance base layers sees the addition of a short sleeve zip neck Tshirt – also perfect for high adrenaline activities or Active Travel in warmer climates.
• These go perfectly with the Trek & Travel Cargo legwear – now in a choice of shorts, cropped and full length trousers for both men and women.

Páramo have not attended a UK trade show for several years, but with a stunning Spring Summer 2009 collection to show and with lots of readers' awards behind us (walk magazine and outdoors magic, just in the last 6 months), we have decided to take advantage of this expanding trade event to talk to outdoor retailers and media about what we have to offer, both in general and more specifically….

The Velez Adventure Light:
The Velez Adventure Smock has taken off in popularity since its introduction in 2007. It combines a contoured fit with excellent ventilation and temperature control via the unique front twin zip system, making it ideal for a huge range activities, including hill walking, climbing, cycling and adventure racing. The fixed hood offers excellent adjustability, with a wired peak which protects the vision.

The large front pocket provides easy access to maps, guides, snacks or accessories, and an internal zipped pocket allows handwarming as well as providing secure storage.

This very successful formula is now the first Páramo garment to be launched in lightweight Nikwax Analogy giving all the recognised benefits of weather proofing and moisture control of the standard Analogy fabric but with a weight reduction of almost 19%.

This will undoubtedly boost uptake among those who 'run hot', and those who want the protection of Nikwax Analogy during high adrenaline activities or in warmer temperatures.

The Summit Hoodie and Fuera Ascent Windproof Jacket:
This combination has been designed to offer the equivalent functionality and protection of our top of the range Aspira Smock and Jacket but with huge flexibility.

It meets the technical demands of high mountain activity for the alpine climber, ski mountaineer and outdoor professional, being harness, rope and helmet compatible and suitable for temperature extremes of -20º to +20ºC.

Both garments feature very efficient venting from the newly positioned two way torso and armzips and a two way front zip to maximise temperature control in all conditions and activities.
