Largest Megamart store opens in Bangalore

Megamart, a pioneer in value retailing and the retail arm of India's largest integrated textile manufacturer and a leading branded apparel & retailer, Arvind Ltd has launched its 3rd 'Megamart Outlet Centre' in Bangalore, the first two being in Chennai and Pune.

The new look store located next to Deve Gowda petrol pump, Banashankari, will offer its customers a bigger and better value shopping experience. Spread across an area of 60,000 sq ft of retail space, the store will be home to over 200 top Indian and international brands and will delight customers with its proposition of 'mega discounts' this Diwali and through out the year.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. J. Suresh, CEO - Arvind Brands & Retail said, “With 60,000 sq ft, this will be our biggest store and will house the widest range of categories including men, women and kids wear, accessories, luggage, footwear, cosmetics, electronics.

Soon we are also planning to have a food-court and even an entertainment zone at our store. With over 200 of the best brands on fabulous discounts, the new Megamart Outlet Centre is all set to be a complete delight for the trendy and value conscious Bangalore customers”.

The Bangalore Megamart Outlet Centre will house leading brands like Allen Solly, Adidas, Arrow, Citizen, Color Plus, Dockers, Titan, Giodorno, Indian Terrain, Lee, Levis, Louis Phillipe, Nike, Park Avenue, Reebok, Scullers, Van Heusen, Wrangler among several other international brands at unbelievable value prices and offers.

The other features of the store include the mobile store, an electronics shop and value-added services like a kids play area, making the Megamart Outlet Centre a complete family store.

Megamart has also pioneered a very unique concept called 'The Marketplace'. At the Marketplace the consumer is sure to find the best and cheapest deals in the city on some of the brands. So a customer knows exactly where to head when he is in the store.

The Megamart Outlet Centre at Banashankari, will offer fantastic value across a range of categories and an international shopping experience. “The Megamart Outlet Centre is positioned as a shopping destination for the people of Bangaluru, offering mega brands & guaranteed mega savings,” said Mr. K. E. Venkatachalapathy, COO, Megamart.

To provide the best of service to customers, Megamart has also invested heavily in training the fashion assistants who will be manning these Outlet Centres. These fashion assistants called the 'Red Squad' will help customers find the best deals and make the right choices. To set a whole new benchmark in the value retail space, Megamart has also put in place a very structured training program and incentive structure.

The store has been designed by JHP London in partnership with OrangeTip Designs from Bangalore. JHP had also designed the new identity of Megamart. Recently the Megamart Oulet Centre in Chennai won the 'most outstanding signage in the country' award from 3M”, added Mr. Venkatachalapathy.
