Haute couture for your heart

Oct '08
Just like your body, your heart is one-of-a-kind. And, similar to a made-to-order, custom designed garment or haute couture piece for your one-of-a-kind body, your heart deserves the same attention when it comes to managing your risk for cardiovascular disease.

Jeanne Beker is synonymous with Canadian fashion. But, gearing down from this fall's Toronto Fashion Week, she wants to talk about more than what's hot for Spring 2009. Jeanne will be discussing another passion close to her heart - encouraging Canadian women to take better care of their heart health.

Jeanne is thrilled to be part of this initiative to encourage Canadian women to customize their heart health regimen the same way they do when filling their wardrobe with carefully selected shoes, dresses and jackets. She is excited to share the truth about:

- Why Canadian women need to take note when it comes to their risk for heart disease

- How to create a made-to-order, customized regimen for your heart health

- An exciting opportunity for women to win a heart healthy getaway - both inside and out!

Jeanne wants women to be Making the Connection that cardiovascular disease is not just a man's disease anymore. It is the leading cause of death among Canadian women and most don't know it). And, although most women are aware that a healthy heart and lifestyle are important to longevity, sometimes it can be more enjoyable to focus on the things that make us feel good on the outside, instead of thinking about our inner health.
