Armadillo Scooterwear announced the U.S. launch of its latest collection of protective outerwear designed specifically for the urban scooter community. Molding classic styles with 21st Century technology, the collection offers something for all scooter riders, from stylish macs to laid back parkas, all designed with the latest fashion and safety in mind. Highlights of the winter collection include a Camovision jacket featuring a 3M reflective camo-print for great night visibility and a classic fur parka for the modern day mod.
For peace of mind, all Armadillo products boast cutting-edge d3o lightweight body armor, offering CE rated impact protection if the rider experiences a fall. The d3o protection pads are soft and flexible and conform to the body, so when inside the jacket they're almost invisible. On impact, however, the molecules lock together to provide the rider with excellent shock absorption when needed.
“Our products are designed for men and women who like to look good and feel safe,” said Founder and Marketing Director Tim Hebden. “That's why we think both the serious scooter enthusiast and the casual rider in the U.S. will love the product and are delighted Benchmark Helmets are taking it to market for us.”
“The scooter community has always been about looking good,” added Armadillo's U.S. Distributor Benchmark Helmets' Michael Bloomer. “Being able to bring this kind of fashion with the level of added protection is something the community has simply never had before. So far, in our test markets, we have attracted great following at the consumer and distributor level, highlighting the uniqueness of the products. As the winter season kicks in we're going nationwide and expect to see the same level of enthusiasm in urban areas across the U.S.”
