In order to perk up the current sales trend, few top level changes has been made in the AV Birla Group's lifestyle fashion and retail businesses. Now Mr Pranab Barua, who was steering the Aditya Birla Retail, will now head Madura Garments, the country's largest fashion house.
According to Company sources, Mr Vikram Rao, who headed Madura Garments for almost a decade, hence forth will look after the group's acrylic fibre and fabric operations in Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines.
The Group has made these top management changes keeping in mind the current scenario at the Madura Garments, which owns brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Peter England and Van Heusen.
Available statistics show that Madura Garment's current top line has now grown up to Rs10 billion and the Company intends to earn revenue of $480 billion by 2012-13.
