CPH Vision expands space to accomodate growing list

We are now also able to meet the demand from many of our regular exhibitors for more presentation space on individual stands. For the first time in several years, we finally have the opportunity to provide space for the many clothes manufacturers and designers who have been on our waiting list due to the lack of space in Øksnehallen", says, Jan Busch Carlsen, Creative Director CPH Vision.

Terminal 2 will increase the exhibition area of CPH Vision by 9000 m2. The goal of expanding without having to compromise on a great location in the centre of Copenhagen has thus been achieved. The new concept was developed to give the up to 30,000 buyers that visit the fair every six months the best conditions for moving seamlessly between the two exhibition halls and on to hotels, restaurants and cafes in the heart of Copenhagen. Everything is within walking distance - even the new exhibition hall - a unique feature for an exhibition of this magnitude compared to other international fairs of comparable size.

The white tent previously hosting the pavilion will be remodelled to provide a reception facility with improved signage to make entry into Terminal 1 run more smoothly. To enhance mobility, a shuttle service will run between the two halls every three minutes. This distance is however easy to walk, should a little fresh air be needed between meetings.

The sharp increase of the total exhibition area will not however mean increased cost for the exhibitors as the square metre price remains the same as before.

"We are very happy that DSB Ejendomme has understood CPH Vision's ambition to contribute to the development of Copenhagen as an international centre of culture and design focusing on the highest quality within an external framework that will itself provide an extraordinary experience for visitors.

With the agreement we have with DSB to lease the old locomotive hall, which during the fashion fair will be called 'Terminal 2', we are now able to meet exhibitor demand and offer more space - and the space we will be providing is in unique surroundings which are themselves worth a visit during Copenhagen Fashion Week." Peter Fenger Selchau, CEO CPH Vision

The extra space in Terminal 2 permits a completely new set-up with larger open spaces between the exhibitors' stands, making it easier for the many thousands of visitors to move smoothly between the stands and quickly find what they are looking for. The expansion will also mean that our exhibition professionals will be able to enlarge the stand areas in order to give the exhibitors' with increased growth the extra space they require.

Finally, CPH Vision will be able to accommodate more exhibitors, something that so far has been impossible due to space limitations. Currently, there is a waiting list of approximately 300 applicants who wish to exhibit their work at CPH Vision. Without compromising on the quality and exhibitor level at the fair, the idea is to increase the number of exhibitors gradually.
