REI Gear & Apparel will also expand its travel and luggage category through the introduction of REI's premium, durable and rugged wheeling duffel, the Tech Beast 32. The duffel features many thoughtful design elements, including handholds for easy hauling, compartments for extra shoes or clothes, and high-performance components throughout. In addition, the piece will fit airline standards for checked baggage.

Also available in fall, REI will introduce the Vagabond and Urban Sling Bag. The Vagabond will be an excellent travel companion for those wanting to travel lightly. These backpack designs will slip conveniently into any airline overhead compartment. In addition, they come with a handy pouch for travel documents and a hidden rain cover that doubles as an extra bag for laundry or souvenirs purchased on your trip. The Urban Sling Bag is great for anyone bicycling or walking to work, and can be adjusted for a perfect fit over either shoulder.
