Vietnamese MOIT recently released a report showing detail statistics of exports of shirts in the first eleven months of 2008, which displays a gloomy outlook as a result of the global economic crisis.
US stands as its biggest exporting market of the shirt in Jan – Nov period, which however, witnessed strong declines in both volume and value, totaling to 41.91 million pieces down 12.7% compared to same period 2007, and amounting to US $207.41 million down 5.1% on year-on- year.
EU region stood at the second place with 21.42 million pieces worth $117.63 million, and in the process grew by 5.5% and 11.1% in volume and value, respectively in comparison with same period 2007.
