In January this year, Vietnam's jean trousers exports volume turnover reached 904,000 pieces to generate a value of US $6.5 million, representing a y–o-y growth of 130 and 109 percent respectively.
The biggest overseas market for jeans trousers; Japan imported a total of 341,953 pieces amounting to $3,235,360, growing by 68.4 and 73.2 percent respectively, corresponding to the same period of 2008.
The average exporting price of Vietnamese trouser jeans stood at $7.26 per piece (FOB), up by 8.8 percent in comparison with the same month of the previous year. Exports of elastic shirt though fell by 3.25 percent and that of jacket suit rose by 2.7 percent.
