Harrogate Lingerie and Swimwear sees quieter environment

Something new and a little naughty to the exhibition came in the shape of Fun Factory. UK Brand Manager, Stephanie Baker feels the exhibition has opened new avenues for the brand, “We have received a very positive reaction to our products; we feel we have filled a gap in the market with fun yet tasteful products. We have had interest from independent and larger clients.”

Lindsey Brown, Mya Blue and agent for Valery is a regular exhibitor at the show “The show has been crazy in that we have been really busy with new accounts and people still buying for Summer 09!” Taking a break from selling the Valery team took a moment to toast their recent successes, of winning the converted 'Creator de la Salon' award earlier in the year.

UK Sales Manager for Urban Nights, Michelle Green add's “I think it's the best show to date and have had some really positive feedback from buyers. There aren't as many stands but that means the buyers aren't flitting about” Urban Nights received a great response from the press, who all received a complimentary kimono gown in their exhibition goody bags.

Lisa Pelloso, Sales Executive, Calvin Klein shares her comments on the exhibition and catwalk show “The show has improved from last season, we thought the catwalk was great and the choreography was wonderful and had a real impact, we liked the use of accessories'

Miranda Frost, Brand director of Gossard “I love Harrogate, although a bit far, we loved being here. All the buyers we planned and expected to meet were here, we engaged with different businesses and the new collection provoked a very positive response. The show has given us the platform to demonstrates how well we are doing”

Janie Fox, Exhibition Director commented, “Although footfall was less than in previous seasons it was obvious that the buyers who had made the decision to attend were there to buy. It was refreshing for many brands to be able to spend quality time with serious retailers intent on sensible strategy designed to survive the current challenging financial climate.”

She added “We were so pleased that exhibitors had managed their expectations and were all looking to the future with renewed determination and drive and this matched by the support for the UK's national show was extremely encouraging for the coming months.”
