GORE BIKE WEAR ALP-X collection to encompass 16 styles
Apr '09
On long rides or on a transalpine adventure, cyclists need a clothing system that can be adapted to suit their activities and temperature level and that can be easily combined and packed with minimal space requirements and weight.

On ascents involving a high level of exertion, high-performance clothing that wicks sweat away from the body and that is suitable for wearing with WINDSTOPPER or GORE-TEX shells is important. With sudden changes in weather and on descents, it prevents cyclists from getting cold as a result of the wind-chill factor. The ALP-X collection from GORE BIKE WEAR is the only collection which offers these features in a perfected form, and it has been expanded for summer 2009 to encompass 16 styles.

ALP-X Jersey
The short-sleeved shirt in the ALP-X collection now provides demanding off-road cyclists with the correct top for warmer days. Also available, the women's version ALP-X LADY Jersey, offering all of the same functions, but specially distinguished by its tailored feminine cut and design.

ALP-X PRO Shorts
These shorts have been developed for the athletic male off road cyclist seeking the performance and comfort of tights, with the relaxed look and benefits of baggy shorts. The ALP-X LADY PRO Shorts were specifically designed for the female off-road cyclist seeking optimal comfort on long rides, without sacrificing the relaxed look.

The thin, over shorts are windproof, completely waterproof and extremely breathable, all at the same time. The lightweight GORE-TEX Paclite shell fits in every pocket thanks to its compact size and protects the cyclist's sensitive thigh muscles, keeping them warm in the cold or rain.

Developed for athletic off-road cyclists, the ALP-X Zip-Off Jacket offers high performance, optimal weather protection and climate comfort. The light jackets, made from WINDSTOPPER Active Shell can be easily packed into a back pack thanks to its compact size. Detachable sleeves easily transform the jacket into a vest making it suitable for long, multi-day rides. The ALP-X LADY Zip-Off Jacket uses various WINDSTOPPER shells and is designed to suit the female anatomy.

ALP-X Gloves & ALP-X Long Gloves
The palm area of the ALP-X and ALP-X Long Gloves has been completely redesigned. Foam pads have been replaced by more comfortable gel pads and their position on the palm have been adjusted to better suit the off-road cycling requirements. A large perforation on the palm side of the glove optimizes ventilation.
